Typical Cases
•    Zhang Tao was a senior official in the Ministry of Commerce of P. R. China (MOFCOM) responsible for antidumping investigation for many years. He is familiar with countervailing and anti-dumping investigation regulations of China, and has represented dozens of foreign (or regional) companies or China’s downstream industries to respond the anti-dumping investigation initiated by the MOFCOM, including General Motors, Lanxess, Olin, Nippon Steel and other large international enterprises, and received good results.
•    Zhang Tao has acted on behalf of Chinese industries and enterprises in about 100 anti-dumping and countervailing cases initiated by the United States, the European Union, Canada and Australia against China.Among those nearly 100 international trade remedy cases, around a quarter of the cases obtained results of no injury or zero tax rate. Zhang Tao has also successfullyrepresented hundreds of Chinese enterprises to apply for separate rate in numerous anti-dumping cases initiated by the U.S. against China.
•    Zhang Tao has represented on behalf of the MOFCOM to respondaround 20 U.S. countervailing cases and special safeguard measures cases against China.
•     Zhang Tao has rich practical experience in US Section 337 investigations.He has represented on behalf of Chinese companies with more than 20 US Section 337 Investigation cases, and the quantity of Section 337 cases in which he represented Chinese companies is more than other Chinese lawyers. Zhang Tao is good at settlement of Section 337 cases, and has helped Chinese companies reach favorable settlements in many cases, which has not only maintained and expanded the market share for the companies, but also saved a lot of cost budget for them.
•     Zhang Tao has been employed by the MOFCOM as a third party to participate in the dispute resolution on anti-dumping laws of WTO, and has also participated in drafting of anti-dumping rules and regulations of China as well as construction of anti-dumping investigation system in China (including the formation and improvement of the anti-dumping questionnaire, the establishment of hearing and verification procedures, and the establishment of dumping margin calculation system, etc.).
